Calix is a specialty solutions provider

The minerals processing industry is faced with many technical and economic challenges relating to the imposition of emission targets and costs of carbon permits.

Calix is developing a range of solutions that can meet the CO₂ capture needs of existing or new coal fired power plants, cement plants, iron and steel works or other high CO₂ emitting industries. These solutions are based on reactive oxides as CO₂ sorbents.

Calix has developed a methodology that reviews current industrial plant performance, and models costs and benefits relating to carbon reduction solutions. Solutions will then be tailored that best meet the requirements of local emissions trading legislation.
